Instead of buying a vintage valve amp for my bedroom noodling, why not make one from a kit that copies the circuit, and uses the same new-old-vintage parts?
The Champ has about the simplest valve amp circuit around (5F1), and it considered a good kit to start with.
This blog will chronicle my efforts to build the amplifier, and not electrocute myself once I plug it in.

Mounting the chassis in the cabinet
Now I can put the finished chassis into the cabinet, and see how it looks.
